DONNA BOYD

International performer and multi-award winner,
Australian singer/songwriter Donna Boyd combines an exceptional voice and a superior audience engagement with insightful song interpretation and gentle humour.

During her 30-year performance career, Donna toured Australia with the likes of Kamahl, The Four Kinsmen and Harry Secombe and in her early days, performed on many television shows (Midday With Martin, The Don Lane Show, The Mike Walsh Show).

Donna has worked in the UK, spent over 8 years working in America, during which time she toured with the Nelson Riddle Orchestra, and began writing and recording in New York. While living in Nashville, she discovered a passion for Country Music, and has since recorded 4 albums, all of which have been recognized and awarded by the Industry and loved by music fans, both in Australia and overseas. Donna then returned to the UK with Frank Ifield for a massive Country Music tour to packed houses.

Not only has Donna spent her time performing, she has also formed a charity to help and educate young aspiring musicians from all over the country. In 2009, Donna was named Outback
NSW Ambassador, and her recording of Amazing Grace was licensed
by The Royal Flying Doctor Service for their educational DVDs.

2013 marked 30 years in the business for this performer who is celebrating her travels, her music and her career with a return to cabaret. Featuring songs Donna calls “Oldies but Goodies”, plus a tribute to one of her heroes; Olivia Newton John which includes songs like ‘Let Me Be There’, ‘Hopelessly Devoted To You’, ‘Physical’ and Xanadu’, audiences will enjoy a wonderful selection of songs, and be thoroughly entertained by this seasoned performer.
